Brazilian Butt Lift in Sugar Land, TX

Patients in the Sugar Land, Texas, and Houston, Texas, areas who want to improve their appearance with Buttock Lifts rely on the high quality care of Dr. David Stapenhorst and the staff of Signature Plastic Surgery. Dr. Stapenhorst recommends the Buttock Lift procedure to his patients who struggle with sagging, drooping and shapeless buttocks. Age, gravity, genetics and weight loss affect the overall appearance of the buttocks. Clothes can fit poorly and patients often feel less attractive. Buttock Lift may also be used to remove cellulite from the buttocks. After the Buttock Lift procedure, Dr. Stapenhorst’s patients have firmer, more rounded buttocks and thighs, giving their bodies a better, more contoured appearance. Patients who maintain a healthy diet and exercise typically have the longest lasting results.

What happens during the Buttock Lift procedure by Dr. David Stapenhorst?

For the Buttock Lift, also known as a gluteal lift, the patient is placed under general anesthesia. Dr. Stapenhorst then makes incisions under the buttocks where the scars are less noticeable. Excess skin and fat are removed, and liposuction may be used to remove any fat deposits, leaving the buttocks smooth and shapely. When he is satisfied with the results, Dr. Stapenhorst closes the incisions. The buttock lift procedure typically takes two to four hours.

When can normal activities resume after the Buttock Lift procedure?

Dr. Stapenhorst advises his patients that they may feel tightness in the incision area and experience limited mobility. Immediately after the procedure, patients must avoid sitting until the buttocks are properly healed. During the healing process, Dr. Stapenhorst advises his patients to avoid any strenuous activities that may put pressure on the incisions. If the incision is stretched or if the patient sits down while healing, Dr. Stapenhorst may need to perform follow-up surgery to repair the incision site.

Is there any pain associated with the Buttock Lift procedure?

Patients report some discomfort after the Buttock Lift procedure, including pain, swelling and numbness. Initially, patients will be prescribed a pain medication.  After one week over-the-counter pain medications are sufficient to help the patient remain comfortable.
