What size and shape breast implant should I choose?
When you meet with Dr. Riley, you will have the opportunity to discuss your breast enlargement goals. You can give Dr. Riley an idea of your desired size with pictures or a specific bra size. Keep in mind that Dr. Riley cannot guarantee your exact outcome, but rather aim for proportions that will best fit your body type.

Will I experience bruising and swelling after surgery?
Breast enlargement patients will experience a degree of localized swelling after the procedure. Swelling should subside over the next few days. Consider sleeping or resting in a reclined position to reduce fluid and tension in the breast area. Some patients experience bruising that will also subside as healing continues. You should alert Dr. Riley if swelling or bruising seems severe or does not lessen.

Will my areolas stretch out after I get implants?
There is a chance the areola/nipple size may change slightly, depending on the size of the implant.

What is the minimum age you have to be to have breast augmentation?
Federal laws mandate that breast enlargement patients must either be age 18 years or older or have the written consent of their parents or legal guardian.

Will my insurance pay for my breast enlargement?
It is unlikely that your insurance will pay for any procedure that is intended for cosmetic purposes only. Insurance policies may cover part of the procedure if it is performed to correct a physical deformity or injury, or following a mastectomy.

How long until my final results are noticeable?
Each patient will notice a different timeline of healing, and will be able to fully appreciate the results according to unique characteristics such as size of implant and healing capabilities. The implants will require a certain amount of time to settle, but best results are usually noticeable within a few weeks.
