Botox® in Houston, TX
Dr. David Stapenhorst of Signature Plastic Surgery is proud to offer Botox® and other cosmetic treatments to residents of Houston, Texas and the surrounding areas.
As you age, the skin on your forehead and around your eyes is susceptible to fine lines and wrinkles. These lines can be the result of excess sun exposure, aging, and stress. Lines and wrinkles in this expressive area of the face can cause an individual to appear frustrated, worried or tired. Botox® offers a quick remedy. It is derived from botulinum toxin, a purified bacteria used to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
What Happens During The Botox® Procedure By Dr. David Stapenhorst?
Dr. Stapenhorst will insert Botox® into the targeted area on the face. He uses his expert knowledge to target the key muscles on each patient’s face, depending on their desired results. Botox® is injected into the skin in troublesome spots, such as the forehead and between the eyes. When injected, Botox® blocks the nerve signals in the muscles. The weakened muscles are then unable to contract and wrinkle. Each session takes about fifteen minutes to complete. Results are noticeable within days, and full results are achieved in approximately one week. While Botox® typically lasts for three to four months, patients are encouraged to return to Signature Plastic Surgery for follow-up Botox® injections, which will help them maintain their more youthful appearance.
When Can Normal Activities Resume Following A Botox® Treatment?
Minimal downtime is required after a Botox® treatment. Avoiding exercise, extremely hot environments, and strenuous activity for one or two days can minimize bruising and swelling. Patients may resume daily activities immediately following their Botox® treatment.
